VEGETABLE GARDEN

School vegetable garden project is one of the best ways to supply fresh vegetables for our learners and the local community. We understand that vision, education, endurance, and support form the basis of sustainable food garden projects, and this is why our approach is to start small and grow big.

1. LEARNING AGRICULTURAL SKILLS

Vegetable gardens allow students to learn essential farming skills, without taking time out of school. At our high School in the farm, our learners can experience how to plant, care for and harvest nutritious and fresh vegetables.

2. FOOD FOR THE POOR AND THE COMMUNITY

With a Christian world view, our vegetable garden is not just about 'vegetable' or 'garden'. Vegetable garden is a part of our local ministries for the poor and the community. We provide some fresh vegetables for our parents and local people in a reasonable price and donate some of those for the poor and the community. Also, Students can take the crops grown at school home to share with their families.

3. GIVING JOB OPPORTUNITY

LCA helps some of our parents and local people who had lost their jobs in the midst of difficulties, especially during pandemic. Our vegetable garden offers them not only a place to learn agricultural skills but also an opportunity to work and get involved in our local ministries.

4. CREATING BEAUTIFUL SCHOOLS

As well as providing environmental education, vegetable garden improves the school environment. Our high school is located in Branwacht which is a farming area in Worcester and has a large vegetable garden next to the school building, making the school a nicer place to learn in nature.
